Giving Tuesday, taking place on December 2, is a global day of generosity that reminds us of the power we have to create real, meaningful change. Falling just after the rush of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it shifts the emphasis on spending to supporting – encouraging our local community to stand behind nonprofits, local organizations and causes that are important to us. Whether you choose to donate your time, money or simply just share acts of kindness, Giving Tuesday is here to inspire people everywhere to take time to give back. Here are a few ways you can show your support around Philly.

PHILABUNDANCE
Nearly 7,000 people in the local area experience food insecurity and don’t know where they will get their next meal. The mission of Philabundance is to drive hunger from our communities today and to end hunger for good.
Camp Out For Hunger: December 2-6 For the 28th year in a row, Philabundance is joining forces with WMMR’s Preston & Steve to collect food donations for communities facing food insecurity in the Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey regions. Companies compete to see who can donate the most funds and food during Camp Out for Hunger. Here’s How to Participate

GIVING SPRUCE DAY
The Spruce Foundation is launching their #GivingSpruceDay, their 2025 fundraising campaign focused on unity, strength and community to raise money to support Philly youth. The Spruce Foundation is an all-volunteer-led nonprofit that funds grants for youth-serving nonprofits and promotes philanthropy among local professionals.

JEFFERSON
On December 2, 2025, join the Jefferson community for GivingTuesday, and help advance research, education, and care for those who depend on them. Your gift, no matter the size, will make an impact on their mission to improve lives.

CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA
Give back to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with their Holiday Toy Drive. You can choose gifts from the wish list to help bring the holidays to life, or make a one-time donation. No child wants to be in the hospital during the holidays, but with your help, we can provide gifts and joyful moments to the patients and their families during the holiday season.

SALVATION ARMY OF GREATER PHILADELPHIA
Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system. Help The Salvation Army help those in need this holiday season.
