In honor of President’s Day, what better day to visit Independence National Park? This stately national park, which honors of the service of our presidents and honors the independence of America, is free and does not require tickets this month. Read on to find out five reasons to check out this historic site in Old City.

 

1.) See the original Liberty Bell. Find out the truth behind the famous crack and the timeless inscription.

2.) See Independence Hall. Visit the room where The Declaration of Independence and The U.S. Constitution were both signed.

3.) Explore the Ben Franklin Museum, a state-of-the-art museum honoring Philadelphia’s own hero.

4.) Find the footsteps in the ground at the President’s House. The footsteps represent Martha Washington’s enslaved maid’s flight to freedom.

5.) Visit the Franklin Court Printing Office. Listen for the sound of the sticky ink as rangers demonstrate printing–18th century style–throughout the day.
