American Heritage Credit Union’s Annual Grand Illumination celebration is the perfect event to kick-off the holiday season. Our free Grand Illumination has become one of the most beloved holiday traditions in Philadelphia and includes the lighting of two 40-foot Christmas trees, hundreds of wreaths, and over 400,000 lights. At Grand Illumination, families can enjoy the sounds of the holiday season. In the spirit of giving, attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to help American Heritage reach its goal of 20,000 pounds for its annual holiday food drive.

The trolleys are all decked out in the holiday spirit ready with lights, holiday décor and music for the ultimate way to see the city’s beautiful light show this season! The Holiday Tour will take you to the best decorated streets in the city while you and your friends and family can sing along with us to all your favorite holiday music.

Take a family fun tour through some of Philly’s favorite neighborhoods to see the most spectacular lights on a Victorian Trolley decked out with lights and music. Enjoy BYOB, fun, games, and sing a long with everyone to have those child hood memories come back.

Manayunk Gets LIT Competition officially launches on November 14, 2024 when Main Street lights up with more than eighty thousand lights!

The sights and sounds of the holidays come alive in this free, 15-minute show, The Comcast Holiday Spectacular, which has quickly become a new holiday tradition in Philadelphia. Marvel at holiday scenes brought to life in this multi-sensory show, featuring classics like Jingle Bell Rock, The Twelve Days of Christmas and The Nutcracker​​​​​; a magic flying sleigh ride through the city and countryside; and a festive sing-along.  The show takes place at the top of every hour from 10 am – 8 pm, except at 5 pm. Sensory-friendly shows are on Thursdays and Fridays at 2:30 pm or upon request.

Make your holiday even more magical with a visit to the Holiday Garden Railway, as it is transformed for the season with thousands of twinkling lights. The Morris Cottage is decked out for the holidays. It’s a perfect spot for festive photos with family and friends.

Join the Christmas celebration at the Please Touch Museum, featuring a magical Santa Workshop where children can meet Santa and create festive crafts. Experience a season filled with wonder, creativity, and unforgettable memories for the whole family!

LumiNature is back for another season of sights, sounds, and surprises through January 4! See more than a million twinkling lights across 16 illuminated zones at their biggest and brightest holiday light show yet. There will be 16 illuminated zones, a 22 foot tall butterfly tree covered in 4,000 butterflies, a 40 foot tall penguin glowing with 40,000 lights, a path with light performers in animal-themed costumes, a sparkling light waterfall, a 100 foot long jungle tunnel and so much more.

Franklin Square transforms into a winter wonderland starting November 21! Enjoy dazzling Electrical Spectacle Light Shows presented by PECO, Chilly Philly Mini Golf, Street Curling, and seasonal sweet treats and cocktails! The Electrical Spectacle Light Show presented by PECO is sure to brighten your night with hundreds of thousands of lights choreographed to your favorite holiday tunes! You don’t want to miss this must-see holiday attraction!

Manayunk lights up for the holidays on November 14, 2024 with their annual tree-lighting ceremony! Come out to Canal View Park (4418 Main Street) from 5:30-7:00 PM where they will host special guests and live performances. Throughout the entire night, guests can expect family fun, Santa meet & greet, Buddy the Elf, SNOW, crafts, glow giveaways, Eagles cheer, and more!!

The festivities kick off on Friday, December 6th with a tree lighting, live music, and hot beverages in the Roxborough Pocket Park (6170 Ridge Avenue). Revelers will return to Ridge Avenue from 12-6 PM on Saturday, December 7th, for more holiday fun. Stop by the pop-up Holiday Markets, make your own s’mores, and enjoy warm drinks from New Ridge Brewing Co. before Santa swings by on the fire truck at 3 PM.
