Nothing says the Holidays quite like the famous story, The Nutcracker! We are so fortunate to have the fabulous Pennsylvania Ballet perform this timeless classic for us every year and for 2016 it starts this weekend! More information and tickets for the performances can be found by clicking here.
Arctic Ave Festival
December 10th 11am – East Passyunk Ave
The second Saturday of the month brings lot’s of fun to South Philly and this month it’s holiday themed! Starting at 11am see many East Passyunk businesses show off their ice-sculpting skills and turn this beloved section of South Philadelphia into an icy winter wonderland! There will be a contest for best sculpture, live music, and ACME Markets will be on hand with complimentary refreshments. The day will be followed by a cocktail crawl for the big kids! Parade of Lights
December 10th 11am-6:30pm – Independence Seaport Museum
Decorating for the Holidays isn’t just for us land folks! Join the river rats at the Independence Seaport Museum off of the Delaware River this Saturday for the Parade of Boats. There will be lights, music, and lot’s of family fun as the boats on the Delaware show off their Holiday pride! There will be a US Coast guard vessel on hand giving free tours and a performance by the Philly POPs! For more information click here.
