PhillyHappened on this day when the Philadelphia Quakers clinched the league title against the New York Yankees with a final score of 13-6. There were some 15,000 fans present at Philadelphia’s Shibe Park to witness the climactic showdown for the championship of the first entity to be called the American Football League. The league disbanded on December 12 of the same year.
