The possibilities are endless.

It’s common to daydream when on vacation. For anyone who has visited wine country, be it California, Italy or France, it’s obligatory to indulge in the fantasy of picking up, heading to wine country, and immersing oneself in the fruits of the land. Craig and Antoinetta Rothenberg dreamed. Every time they visited Napa Valley, the couple would dream of a life in wine country. Craig, an esteemed litigator with a law firm based in Clinton, New Jersey, realized that his personal and professional ties to the east coast might prove an insurmountable challenge for a west coast relocation. Ever the real estate enthusiast, he became enamored by a nearby property. It seemed to have all the makings of his Napa Valley dream, but here in New Jersey. Was it a mirage, he thought? The Rothenbergs began to investigate.

It was a 125-acre tract of land, complete with historic barns, rolling hills, million-dollar views, a stunning estate home, and endless possibilities. Were there vines? Not yet. But the Rothenbergs had a vision that others did not yet see. They purchased the property in 2016 and set to work at the task of crystallizing their dream.

Over time, the couple carefully designed their dream for the property and have been meticulous stewards of both the property and their vision ever since. A personal tour of the home leaves you with immense respect for what the couple has accomplished thus far, but also a sense of what really could be possible in the future.

The main home, the main structure on the property, rivals a boutique hotel.

The estate is also a farm.

The expansive grounds include a vineyard, a fig orchard, a bee apiary, as well a variety of other species such as hazelnuts and raspberries. The vineyards were planted just a few years ago and the current owners are working with industry professionals to create a vineyard of prestige.  Situated near the 579 Wine Trail, the valley topography and almost daily fog is reminiscent of other important wine regions. The couple has built a bee apiary, and have begun to jar the honey.

Barns old and new.

The Rothenbergs have begun the painstaking work of restoring two historical bank barns on the property, which date back to the 1800s.  Each structure is currently being restored and updated with electric, water, and individual septic systems. In addition to the smaller historic structures, the couple has built an expansive modern barn, complete with it’s own electric, water, and individual septic system as well.  This barn is equipped to host a 500-person event for your closest friends.

Every amenity has been considered.

Love to cook?  It’s got a professional-level kitchen, complete with built-in pizza oven. Love to entertain and drink wine?  Hang out the wine cellar. Love to relax and catch a movie?  Take your pick, of locations in the home, from the movie-theater darkness of the cinema room in the basement to one of the more casual viewing areas that are equipped with professional sound.  Love to work up a sweat?  Invite a friend over for some 1-on-1 squash or basketball.  Need some rest and relaxation?  Hit the sauna.

And it could be yours.
