Wawa Welcome America brings you a fantastic line up of outdoor classic movies for your summer viewing pleasure. Enjoy fan favorites such as, Rocky and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at a variety of great outdoor viewing spots across the city. So grab some friends, a few lawn chairs and snacks for a few great nights this summer.

Monday, June 25

 “The Great Gatsby”

Rittenhouse Square, 9 pm

To kick off Philly @ The Movies come to Rittenhouse Square to enjoy the cinema classic, “The Great Gatsby.” Come early to experience “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Fashion” – a unique fashion show courtesy of 90degreez, at 8 p.m.. Experience the heart of Philadelphia’s dining scene, including six park-side dining options, and enjoy the area before the events begin.

 

Tuesday, June 26

 “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”

Piazza at Schmidts, 1050 North Hancock Street, 9 pm

The Piazza at Schmidts, one of Philadelphia’s most exciting neighborhood hubs, is where you can come to enjoy “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” With 16 different restaurants available, it is easy to make a fun night with your time at The Piazza at Schmidts. Come at 7:05 pm to catch the Phillies vs. Pirates baseball game, on the jumbotron, before the movie.

 

Wednesday, June 27

 “Rocky”

Philadelphia Museum of Art, 26th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, 9 pm

Make a day out of exploring the iconic city of Philadelphia. Start early, by walking through the Philadelphia Museum of Art until 5 p.m. Walk around and have dinner, in the city, before you make your way down the Parkway to catch the film at the spot that made it a Philadelphia classic.

 

Monday, July 2

 “Why Did I Get Married?”

The Dell Music Center, North 33rd Street, 9 pm

Take a stroll through the scenic East Fairmount Park and make your way to the Dell Music Center to catch “Why Did I Get Married?” The film focuses on the difficulty of maintaining a relationship in modern times. After the film, be a part of celebrating the anniversaries of couples that have been together for many significant years.

 

 Special Sneak Preview

 “The Amazing Spider-Man”

Rave Motion Pictures, 4012 Walnut Street, 7 pm

You are invited to experience the story of Peter Parker that has rarely been seen, by being one of the first people to see “The Amazing Spider-Man™.” Come enjoy the film and try to unravel the mysterious past of Peter Parker. The new film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field. A limited number of ticketed Wawa Welcome America! guests will have the opportunity to see this film before its release date of July 3rd.
