Businesses and cultural institutions in Philadelphia’s Historic District celebrate with the Red, White, & Blue To-Do Pomp & Parade each July 2, featuring a big parade and block party that include concerts, games, extended hours at historic attractions, restaurant happy hour specials and much more. Wawa Welcome America Festival

Wawa Welcome America is Philadelphia’s premier summer festival that celebrates freedom and independence from Juneteenth to July 4th! As the nation’s largest July 4th celebration and one of the largest free festivals in the country, Wawa Welcome America offers sixteen days of free, family-friendly programs that celebrate the lives, voices, and experiences of all Americans through art, culture, wellness, and history.

As the USA marks its 250th anniversary, the 2026 Wawa Welcome America will be a significant cultural, historical, and civic celebration in the place where it happened. This once-in-a-generation experience will feature events that Philadelphians have come to know and love, just bigger and better, including concerts on Independence Mall, firework displays, block parties, Wawa Hoagie Day, a parade representing all states and territories, and more. July 4th FreedomFest

July 4, 5-9:30 pm

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with One River Alliance! July 4th FreedomFest is an annual, family-friendly Independence Day celebration at Pleasant Hill Park in Northeast Philadelphia. Come out for amazing live music, delicious food trucks, beer gardens, local craft and design vendors, carnival games, bounce houses, and a Ferris Wheel, all at one of the most beautiful and relaxing spots on the Delaware River. The day ends with a state-of-the-art fireworks display launched from a river barge. There is plenty of time to have fun at the festival, and plenty of room to bring chairs and blankets to watch the fireworks show starting at around 9:00 p.m.

One Philly Unity Concert for America & Fireworks

This year, the City of Philadelphia hosts the One Philly Unity Concert for America, Philadelphia’s spectacular — and 100% free-to-all — July Fourth concert and fireworks show by the Philadelphia Museum of Art on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This year’s event features a full evening of free activities and highly anticipated performances by Christina AguileraJill ScottThe RootsWill SmithDJ Jazzy Jeff and more. Following the concert, the firework display is set to begin at 11:45 p.m.
