Soul Crawl: Halloween History Tours

When: October 7-8
Where: Laurel Hill Cemetery, 3822 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA

Experience the enchanting art and landscape after dark, as an experienced tour guide leads you along winding, dimly lit pathways. The extended nighttime walking tours will focus on the cemetery’s rich history, and of course, some of the liveliest spirits buried within. Tours will last approximately two hours and will be followed by seasonal refreshments and cocktails aside blazing fire pits. Soul Crawl: Halloween History Tours are scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm each night. Attendees are advised to dress warmly, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a flashlight.

Fire Side Ghost Tales at Odette’s Overlook

When: October 12 & 19, 7-8 pm
Where: River House at Odette’s, 274 S. River Road, New Hope, PA

On Wednesday, October 12th and 19th, experience an interactive evening that will feature an informal talk and Q&A with historian and Ghost Tour guide, Carolyn Randolph. Specializing in Bucks County history, Randolph will discuss tales of the city and the surrounding towns to shine a new light on its fascinating past and the bold names whose presence still roam the area to this day. There will also be a psychic at the event that will read your past, present and future. The event is free to attend. RSVP by calling 215-682-2022 ext. 3 and request Odette’s Overlook for Fire Side. It’s a first come, first serve event with limited seating.

Pennhurst Asylum

When: Weekends, September 24 – November 5
Where: Bridge St & Church St, Spring City, PA

One of Pennsylvania’s most terrifying haunted attractions, the Pennhurst Asylum is located outside of Philadelphia in Spring City, PA. There are three different attractions to explore, The Asylum, The Tunnels and The Morgue. Read more about this adventure on the website.

Fright Factory

When: September – October
Where: 2200 S. Swanson Street, Philadelphia, PA

Fright Factory is a high scare, high startle, adult themed haunted house featured on the Travel Channel as one of the scariest haunted attractions in America. Located at 2200 S. Swanson St in Philadelphia, PA inside a 120+ year old factory in the basement. The Basement is 25,000 Sq Ft split into 3 themes. Once you’re in, there’s no time to rest until you make it out.

Philly Ghosts

When: October
Where: Meet at “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier”: Washington Square at 217 W Washington Square

Your tour through Philadelphia’s historic Old City area takes you to some of the city’s most haunted locations. Learn the truth behind Philadelphia’s ghost-filled history as your guide introduces you to some of the city’s most chilling legends and mysteries. Tours begin at Washington Square.

Newest and Scariest Haunted House in Philadelphia

When: 6:45 pm – 11:45 pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Where: 4100 Main Street, Philadelphia

On September 2, 2021, Hurricane Ida hit Philadelphia and flooded the Lincoln Mill. The flood damged the mill’s interior and revealed a hidden chamber located below the basement level. Countless bodies were found and a dark truth was discovered about the mill’s past. Construction has been halted and the mill will open for guests to experience.

Ghost Tours of Philadelphia

Eastern State Penitentiary

The Eastern State Penitentiary, also known as ESP, is a former American prison in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located at 2027 Fairmount Avenue between Corinthian Avenue and North 22nd Street in the Fairmount section of the city, and was operational from 1829 until 1971. Embark on a frightening adventure at Halloween Nights, which consists of 15 attractions, including 2 haunted houses, 3 immersive walk-through experiences, 3 live, interactive performances, 4 themed bars and lounges and 3 opportunities to explore the penitentiary’s cellblocks, history, and relevance today.


Halloween Family Fun Day

When: October 23, 12-3 pm
Where: The Woodlands, 4000 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA

Halloween Family Fun Day will feature a pop up Mini Mütter Museum, and performances by Karen Smith’s “Spiritual Atmosferic Cleansing” and Tangle Movement Arts.

Monster Mash Bash | Not-So-Scary Sing Along

Boo at the Zoo

The Philadelphia Zoo’s annual Halloween Extravaganza, Boo at the Zoo is set for thee fun-filled weekends of costumes, festive fall treats and ghoulish fun. Come dressed in costume, trick or treat around the zoo and enjoy seasonal decor, photo ops, fall offerings, activities and more.

Halloween Party at the Fishtown Community Library

When: October 28, 3-5 pm
Where: Fishtown Library, 1217 E Montgomery Ave, Philadelphia

Join in on crafts, candy, music and scary stories at the Fishtown Community Library. Come in costume and get ready for lots of Halloween fun!


Philadelphia Official Halloween Pub Crawl

When: October 22, 29 and 31
Where: Howl at the Moon + Various Venues

The most spooktacular weekend is back. Grab your best costume and your friends and take on the streets of Philly for the annual Philadelphia Official Halloween Bar Crawl. Drink specials, costume contests and live djs are included.

Trick or Drink Bar Crawl

When: October 28, 29 and 31
Where: Philadelphia

Crawl through a select list of Philadelphia’s favorite bars for trick or drink specials. Map with drink specials will be posted one week before the crawl.

Mischief at the Mütter

When: October 28, 7-11 pm
Where: Mütter Museum, 19 S 22nd Street, Philadelphia, PA

Spark your curiosity with a night of bloodthirsty refreshments, snacks, tarot reading, contortionists, DJ and private access to a disturbingly informative collection. Halloween costumes are welcome with a special ’80s horror category for the costume contest.


East Falls Halloween Parade
