Every little girl dreams about her wedding day, and most importantly the gorgeous, breath-taking dress she hopes to wear. With the declining economic climate, many couples have had to downsize their wedding budgets making way for innovative planning techniques and hopes of thrifty shopping finds. Thus The Wedding Dress Party was born; local bride and founder of the Wedding Dress Party, Nicole Farmer, shares how she came up with the idea for such a wonderful event.

“As someone who was recently a bride to be looking for a dress, the event was a no-brainer”, she says. “I now own a beautiful dress and also would like to get a return on my investment, while saying good bye to my dress in a fun and unforgettable way.  There had to be others like me, and the idea of The Wedding Dress Party was a perfect fit.”

Now brides can have the high-end elegant gown they’ve always dreamed of without the high end price tag. On October 14th brides-to-be are invited to attend the Wedding Dress Party. This bridal event of the season is held at the historic Stotesbury Mansion from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, and is considered the official wedding dress resale and silent auction event. Former brides are invited to give their wedding gowns a runway good-bye while brides-to-be join in the runway fun and have the opportunity to bid-buy the gown of their dreams. It’s truly a win-win; brides not only make more room in their closet by getting rid of their gowns, but they make a little cash in the process AND help a great cause, young breast cancer  survivors. The general public is invited to attend, whether you’re in the market for a wedding dress or just want to join in the fun, for just $10 enjoy an afternoon of high fashion wedding runway and bridal accessory sales.
