Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland in the South Street Headhouse District
South Street Headhouse District’s Winter Wonderland Event starts the cheer of the holiday season
On Sunday, December 4th the SSHD invites families to the annual Winter Wonderland event for a kick-off to the winter season and a helping of holiday cheer. Patrons are invited to gatheraround the historic Headhouse Square for family-themed activities includinghorse-and-buggy tours of the neighborhood, balloon art, a holiday ornament making station, letter writing to Santa, children’s performing arts including a Nutcracker Mash up performance, and pose for holiday pictures. Local businesses in the District will be participating as vendors for Winter Wonderland with “pop up” shops underneath the shambles for families to purchase and sample products. All activities will lead up to Santa’s arrival for the yearly tree lighting ceremony.
WHERE: Events to take place in Historic Headhouse Square at 2nd and Lombard.
WHEN: Sunday, December 4th from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m.
Santa’s Arrival will be at 5:00pm and the Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6:00pm.
