Wednesday, June 27th is Wawa Welcome America’s Hoagie Day celebration at Independence Mall from 12pm-2pm where Mayor Nutter and a host of Wawa associates will be passing out servings sliced from a 4.5 ton Wawa hoagie. This “Hoagie of Heroic proportions” marks just one fun filled event in a week long collection of celebrations all over Philadelphia. Wawa Welcomes America brings the people of the Philadelphia region a variety of events all week in celebration of the 4th of July holiday, from free outdoor movies, firework spectacles, and live music performances.
