Are you looking to switch things up and explore outside the city life? Michener Museum is the place for you. Doylestown is the new Broadway with the museum’s new exhibit Walk This Way: Footwear from the Stuart Weitzman Collection of Historic Shoes — a mash-up of art, history, fashion, and architecture!
Bring your show-obsessed friends for a new Broadway experience and more! The exhibit, open from September 24 to January 15, 2023, will feature women who designed, manufactured, sold, and collected footwear, and tell the story of how shoes are not only made for walkin’ but how they have come to be symbols, bringing influence to society.
Explore the 100-plus shoes on display assembled by designer Stuart Weitzman and businesswoman and philanthropist Jane Gershon Weitzman. You will come across shoes from all walks of life, from a pair of satin wedding shoes from 1838 to the iconic red-high shoes from Kinky Boots!
Learn more about the new exhibit on their website today. Admission for members is free, otherwise, it’s a $15 entry fee for adults, $13 for seniors, $8 for college students, $5 for children ages 6-18, and free for children under the age of 6.
