It’s officially October, which also means it’s officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Check out what’s happening this month to find what you can do to support the cause. There are a variety of ways to participate whether that’s running a 5k or going out for drinks to support the research, treatment, and recovery for those in Philly and beyond!

Ta Ta for Now – Breast Cancer Yacht Cruise

When: Saturday, October 8 from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All aboard the Ben Franklin Yacht for a cruise down the Delaware River to raise money in support of breastcancer.org, aiming to raise over $20,000. Dress up and enjoy the 3-hour cruise filled with a delicious variety of food, beer, and wine. Set out on the water for a beautiful fall afternoon while supporting a great cause! The Inaugural Cupcakes for Cancer Dessert Fundraiser Event

When: Saturday, October 15 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Cupcakes for a cause? Sign me up! The purchase of a ticket for this dessert fundraiser sponsors chemotherapy and radiation for patients who are going through cancer treatment. In addition, it funds Cupcakes for Cancer Philadelphia’s Survivor Saturdays, which is a virtual support group series.

Praise Is The Cure’s Breast Cancer Patients & Survivors Celebration

When: Saturday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Praise Is The Cure invites you to their drive-thru trunk or treat for breast cancer patients and survivors. What is a trunk or treat? Rather than bopping house to house, treat seekers go from decorated car to decorated car for Halloween treats. Across the River: Making Strides 5k

The American Cancer Society is hosting one of its “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walks in the greater Philadelphia and southern New Jersey area! Register ahead of time or at check-in to participate in the 5k. The event will start with a Survivor lap around the track, followed by the rest of the walk taken altogether. Yoga with the Azaleas

Join this active breast cancer fundraiser in the beautiful Azalea Gardens of Fairmount Parks (with 2 free hours of parking)!
