It’s summertime and the livin’ is easy. We love Philadelphia all year round, but there is something special about summer in the city: pop-up beer gardens, special events, outdoor meals, and unforgettable summer sunsets. Read on to find out 10 reasons to love summers in Philadelphia.

 

1.) Pop-up Beer Gardens: This summer, one of our favorite pop-up beer gardens is Parks on Tap.  Beer, cornhole, and nature–what more could you ask for?

4.) Lazy days by the water with family and friends: One of our favorite waterfront spots in the city is at  Spruce Street Harbor Park, Columbus Blvd. and Spruce St.

5.) Rooftop Bars: One of our favorites this summer is Bok Bar in South Philly, 1901 S. 9th St. Bok Bar is located on top of an old vocational school and features some of the most breathtaking views in the city.

6.) All sorts of interesting people and acts in Rittenhouse Square, including magicians and jugglers!

7.) Special Exhibits: One of our favorites this summer was the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, 1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
