Schuylkill River Development Corporation just announced that it has been able to secure funding for two pergolas for its Boardwalk. They anticipate delivery of materials on Wednesday, December 17 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Installation will begin Wednesday and be completed by the end of the year.
Because of the nature of the unloading and installation process, the Boardwalk will be closed during this delivery window and for several more days while erection of the steel framing is underway. The Boardwalk will only be closed while active work is underway, and will be re-opened to traffic at the end of each work day.
The closure may be a pain, but soon we’ll have even more to look at on the Boardwalk!
