Happy Father’s Day weekend!  The Summer season is in full swing and we hope you are finding lots of ways to keep cool.  Here are this weekend’s top 3 event picks!

Art for the Cash Poor
June 17-18 12pm-6pm – Crane Arts Building (1400 N American St.)

Art is one of the many ways to make a house feel more like a home or turn an office space into a unique place where creative thoughts can flow, but let’s face it, artwork can be difficult to collect without draining your bank account.  Not to worry, InLiquid is here to change that with their annual art sale designed to help local artists sell their work, raise money for a great cause, and help those of us looking to adorn our spaces without totally emptying our wallets!  This weekend you can purchase artwork priced at $199 and below at the Arts for the Cash Poor sale in the Kensington/Fishtown area. The event is free and you can click here to see vendors and get more information on the event.

Juneteenth Festival
June 17 11am-8pm – Johnson House Historic Site (6300 Block of Germantown Ave.)

The Juneteenth Festival celebrates the end of slavery in America.  This annual event is fun for the whole family and will feature food, music, a beer garden, historic reenactments and so much more.  For more information click here to visit the Johnson House Historic Site’s website.

Beer Camp on Tour
June 17 1pm-7pm – Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing

Does Dad like to drink beer?  I know, I know, that’s like asking if the sky is blue! Well what a better way to celebrate him than at America’s Largest Craft Beer Festival sponsored by Sierra Nevada.  There will be over a 100 beers to try from brewers from throughout the nations, live music, and food available from the many delicious food trucks from our area.  Tickets start at $55, ($40 for designated drivers) and you can click here to purchase tickets and get more information on the event.
