JerkfestPhiladelphia Jerk Festival
Sunday August 28th – Fairmount Park

Philadelphia Jerk Festival is a family-oriented festival in it’s second year. The festival aims to showcase a broad variety of Caribbean Jerk foods, music, and culture, as well as providing lots of different activities, games and stalls, alongside top name artists.

The festival features a packed program of top quality live entertainment including Luciano, Assassin, and Leadpipe and Saddis, as well as a kids zone, costumed walkabouts, face paintings, souvenirs, arts, crafts, delicious authentic jerk cuisine, and an array of interactive fun for that ultimate festival experience.

Smooth Jazz Summer Nights Series
Sunday August 26th – 7:30PM

jazznightsThe Smooth Jazz Summer Nights Series is in it’s 20th year and this Sunday is the last night to catch this FREE concert in the summer of 2016.  Peabo Bryson, one of the premier male vocalists in contemporary music of the last quarter century, will be performing at 7:30PM sharp.  For more information on Peabo visit his website.
