Filled with Family fun, LGBT Pride, and your final chance to catch a fabulous display inspired from a world away this weekend is sure to be a great one! PECO Family Jams
Sunday June, 12th 2016 – Philly Magic Gardens
Every second Sunday of the month the Philly magic garden located at 1020 South Street hosts PECO Family Jams, a one of a kind family oriented program from noon to 4 PM. Drop in with the whole gang for a variety of hands-on workshops and free kid-friendly tours at 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM. For more information visit the Philly Magic Garden’s website.
The Philly Pride Parade and Festival
Sunday June 12th, 2016 – GAYborhood and Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing
This weekend celebrate the LGBT community starting with the Philly Pride kick-off block party on Friday June 10th from 6pm-10pm at 12th and Locust streets. Saturday you can support AIDS fund by playing Gay Bingo, which is having a 20th Anniversary Spectacular on June 11th. The Philly Pride Parade and festival is on Sunday, June 12th. The parade starts at 11:30 a.m at 13th and Locust. Festival gates open at Noon at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, Columbus Blvd and Chestnut Street The Parade reaches the festival at approximately 1:30pm. For more information click here.
Chinese Lantern Festival
The Chinese Lantern Festival has been wowing Philadelphians and visitors alike since April 22nd at Franklin Square and this is the final weekend to check it out. The Festival officially closes on June 12th and is open Friday and Saturday from 6pm-11pm and Sunday from 6pm-10pm. Visit the website for more details.
