This weekend is the start of a heavenly food coma for all Manayunk-ers. With the Manayunk Restaurant Kickoff event, the Manayunk Streat Food Festival, on Saturday, September 29th, patrons can enjoy all their favorite food truck treats. Then beginning Sunday, September 30th through October 5th Manayunk will feature their own restaurant week.
About the Manayunk Streat Food Festival:
The Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival, held on Saturday, September 29 from 10AM-5PM, is the kick-off of the five day Manayunk Restaurant Week beginning Sunday, September 30 and running through Friday, October 5. Main Street will be lined with some of Philadelphia’s best food trucks, gourmet food vendors and local farmers’ markets. The event will offer a more affordable price point for visitors. Each food truck will make one serving that ranges from $3-$5. Food-centric arts and crafts will also be set up in the farmers’ market areas including artists specializing in kitchen ware and food crafts.
A restaurant tour will also take place highlighting apple/fall time specialties by our Manayunk restaurants and eateries. Visitors will work their way from place to place trying an eclectic range of different foods all on one street! Live music will be playing as patrons wind down Main Street, stopping wherever he or she likes to taste the best that Philly has to offer!
About Manayunk Restaurant Week:
Manayunk Restaurant Week will take place starting Sunday, September 30th to Friday, October 5th. Restaurants will offer prix-fix menus at $10, $20 and $30 price points. Manayunk boasts over 30 restaurants and eateries in the district. The options are limitless for diners looking for a fantastic meal and night out on the town. Plus, many retailers will stay open late so you can get a jump on your holiday shopping!
