Saturday, October 19th marks the inaugural Philadelphia Grocery Co-op Day declared by the City of Philadelphia! Commemorating the day, Kensington Community Food Co-op, Mariposa Food Co-op, South Philly Food Co-op, Swarthmore Co-op, and Weavers Way Co-op will host a day of activities and customer incentives, with local vendors showing off their products, raffles, and other special deals. Visit your local co-op for this free fun-filled and informative day!
Everyone is welcome! Together, Philly-area co-ops create a robust local food network where new product vendors can find footing while classic Philadelphia vendors can continue to shine before area customers. The 5 co-ops in and around Philadelphia have over 16,000 co-op members, support over 400 employees and source products from over 500 local businesses.
Mayor Jim Kenney has recognized Philadelphia as having one of the most thriving grocery co-op marketplaces in the country. See what makes co-op special and help us celebrate Philly Grocery Co-op Day 2019!
