For Anne

From Monday, March 25 through Sunday, March 31, a.bar and a.kitchen will donate 100% of the proceeds from their Fernet Branca-based cocktail, The Giving Tree, and every bottle of Peroni beer sold, as well as 50% of proceeds from two of Anne’s favorite dishes from Chef Eli Collins to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The two featured dishes are the Burrata with long hot pesto and grilled Genzano bread and Confit Pork Belly with buttered Brussels sprouts, farro and mustard jus. The fundraiser is in support of former a.kitchen team member Anne Pagsuguiron. The entire AKA team has rallied around Anne, who is now at AKA University City, and head bartender Sean McGuire crafted the featured cocktail using some of her favorite ingredients, Fernet Branca and mezcal. The Giving Tree features Fernet, mezcal, Dolin dry vermouth, lemon, egg white and Coca Cola.
