Philadelphia offers so many great places to say “I Do”.  The city of Philadelphia is easy to get to, offers reasonable prices,  and has plenty of places to house and entertain out of town guests. It’s no wonder, then, that so many brides and grooms decide to have their big day right here in the City of Brotherly Love.

Professional Photos are such a big part of the wedding process, from engagement photos to the picture-story of the big day, they have to be done right. We reached out to a few local newlyweds to get the scoop on the best places in Philly to take Wedding and Engagement photos.

Broad Street

Perhaps the most iconic wedding photo spot is so great there is no way it couldn’t make this list.  So many couples have laughed and smooched in the middle of Broad Street with City Hall in the background to memorialize their big day.  It’s so beautiful, so iconic, and so Philly!

2nd National Bank

The second national bank is located on Chestnut street between 4th and 5th streets.  It was once the second federally authorized bank in the United States and now it houses a portrait gallery that is free to the public as a part of our National Parks Service.  The front of the building is so beautiful and historic, a very popular spot for newly-weds to snap a few photos they will treasure forever!

30th Street Station

30th Street Station is more than just a place to grab a SEPTA or Amtrak train, it’s also a really beautiful old building perfect for capturing a few gorgeous and unique photos from your big day.  Since you are indoors, it’s also a great place to shoot if the weather ends up being uncooperative.

Benjamin Franklin Bridge

Built in 1926 the Benjamin Franklin Bridge was originally called the Delaware River Bridge, because it was the first bridge to cross the Delaware River.  This iconic Philadelphia landmark connects the city with New Jersey and there are lots of places on both sides of the river to catch a great shot of it in the background.  The Race Street Pier and Seaport Museum area are some of the most popular.

Love Statue

What is a day all about love with out a classic picture in front of the LOVE statue!? Robert Indiana’s famous sculpture is usually found in John F. Kennedy Plaza, better known as Love Park, but since the plaza is being renovated you can find it right across the street outside of city hall until the completion of construction in September 2017.  Fun Fact: When asked why the “O” is tilted in the sculpture, Robert Indiana said it represents that while love is wonderful it isn’t always perfect.  Something to keep in mind when speaking or writing your vows!
