Have you dreamed of having a celebrity home? Or maybe you’d settle for having Ty Pennington knock on your door and offer to makeover the house you’re currently living in?

Those two things could now become a reality for someone in Philadelphia. Well, sort of, now that the home located at 9963 Haldeman Avenue – which has been on the market since 2013 – has had another price cut. You could now be the proud owner of the home for $447,999.

The Northeast Philadelphia home was featured on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” – an American reality television series providing home improvements for less fortunate families and community schools – in 2006.

For those who may not have watched the series, it had a tendency to be a real tearjerker. Each episode featured a family that had faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship such as a natural disaster or a life-threatening illness. For example, during the 2005–2006 season the show went to areas hit by Hurricane Katrina and helped communities rebuild themselves with help from other organizations. The show’s producers always arranged to have materials and labor donated to makeover the family’s home.

Very often the show featured dingy kitchens getting completely redone, spa-inspired bathrooms built where icky ones used to be, and Olympic-sized swimming pools installed in what were once shabby overgrown yards.
