Summer is here and Philly is buzzing with events that promise to make this season unforgettable. From outdoor festivals and live music performances to family-friendly activities and cultural celebrations, there is something for everyone to enjoy over the next couple of months. Center City Sips

Philadelphia, PA

Mix, mingle and make it a night; Philadelphia’s favorite happy hour tradition is back for it’s 20th summer to offer the ultimate after-work experience. Beginning June 5 and continuing every Wednesday through August 28, dozens of bars and restaurants will serve $7 cocktails, including drinks made with Hornitos® Tequila, $6 wine, $5 beer and half-priced appetizers from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. After 7 p.m., select locations will provide 15% off of dinner. From outdoor beer gardens and cocktail lounges to dance bars and some of the best restaurants in Philadelphia, there’s a place for everyone at CCD SIPS. For the first time, CCD is introducing a limited-edition beer made in partnership with a local brewery, Broad Street Brewing. SIPS Summer Splash, a Mexican-style lager with lime will be sold exclusively at Dilworth Park’s Aire Grille Garden throughout the summer and will be available during SIPS for only $5. 2nd Street Festival

August 4th, 12 pm – 10 pm

Founded in 2006 by several local business owners, 2nd Street Festival has grown into one of the largest annual street festivals in Philadelphia, spanning several blocks in Northern Liberties and drawing thousands of people. The neighborhood comes alive with food, libations and entertainment.

Wawa Welcome America Festival

Philadelphia, PA | June 19 – July 4

Wawa Welcome America Festival features 16 days of free, family-friendly programming from Juneteenth to the Fourth of July. This year, Ne-Yo and Kesha will be performing on July 4th.

Liberty Flea Vintage & Artisan Market

Cherry Street Pier, Philadelphia | Select Days, May 25-September 28

Liberty Flea is back starting May 25th at Spruce Street Harbor Park and Cherry Street Pier on select dates from 10 am – 4 pm. Admission is free and items are pay-as-you-go. All are welcome. Liberty Flea is a collection of the Philadelphia area’s top vintage and artisan vendors. Shop for antiques, home décor, furniture, vintage clothing and handmade artisan goods.

Blue Cross RiverRink Summefest

121 N. Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia | Opens June 28

Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront’s favorite summertime traditions. There is outdoor roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, with fantastic views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. Summerfest is the place to be this summer.

Sunset Social PHL Movie Nights

Philadelphia, PA | June 19 – July 4

Sunset Social PHL hosts weekly movie nights that are free and open to the public. Get there early to grab the best view of the 60 foot screen. Dogs and kids are always welcome. See the movie schedule here.

Old City Eats Block Party

Philadelphia, PA | June 20

Old City District  is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of Old City Eats Block Party on Thursday, June 20 from 5 – 9pm. The annual celebration promises an evening of diverse eats, seasonal sippers, music, and more, as a bevy of Old City’s top restaurants, bars, and eateries come together for a one-night-only block party event, held on 2nd Street between Market and Chestnut Streets. Hosted al fresco along 2nd Street in Old City, a number of Philadelphia’s top tier locales will offer seasonal snacks, beer, cocktails, and wine during this one-night-only block party.

Spruce Street Harbor Park makes for a great summer date night. It features colorful hammocks, floating gardens, stunning technicolored lights, local craft beers, and delicious food from some of Philadelphia’s most popular restaurants.
