The Comcast Holiday Spectacular

Thanksgiving – New Year’s Day, 10 am – 8 pm at the top of the hour

Philadelphia’s beloved holiday tradition celebrates 15 years of delighting guests in 2023. The free, 15-minute family-friendly show, presented on The Comcast Experience video wall in the Comcast Center lobby, features holiday songs, performances by the Philadelphia Ballet, and a sleigh ride around the world and into Philadelphia. A sensory-friendly version of The Comcast Holiday Spectacular, produced in partnership with The Arc of the United States, will be offered daily this year. Guests can access Audio Description (AD) of the show by using the Listen EVERYWHERE app on a personal or loaner device (available by request).

Christmas Village

Winter Around the World: Holidays in the Park at Lemon Hill Mansion

After undergoing an extensive three-year renovation led by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, Lemon Hill Mansion will honor Philadelphia’s diversity and celebrate its reopening by literally inviting the world through its doors. “Winter Around the World”, the theme for this year‘s holiday festivities, will feature the seasonal traditions of several international cultures. Experience how people around the world celebrate the winter season with creatively decorated rooms and an array of exciting activities.

On the first two weekends (December 2, 3, 9, and 10), the Conservancy will highlight a nationality on each day with live music, regional food, craft activities, and other celebrations centered around the country’s cultural traditions. (Admission for these dates will be $5 per person, free for children 12 and under.) The third weekend (December 16 and 17), Welcome America presents Family Weekend with FREE admission for all. Plus, live music, children’s activities, and daily appearances from Santa Claus.

Winter in Franklin Square

Franklin Square transforms into a winter wonderland starting November 16! Enjoy dazzling Electrical Spectacle Light Shows presented by PECO, Chilly Philly Mini Golf, Street Curling, and delicious seasonal bites and cocktails from the Ben On the Rocks heated tent! The Electrical Spectacle Light Show presented by PECO is sure to brighten your night with hundreds of thousands of lights choreographed to your favorite holiday tunes! You don’t want to miss this must-see holiday attraction! Kick off your holiday season on November 16 at 5:30 at the opening night of Winter in Franklin Square. Get your holiday picture taken as the Philadelphia Girls Choir helps us ring in the first Electrical Spectacle Light Show of the season!

LumiNature at Philadelphia Zoo

Philadelphia Zoo is excited to light up the holidays once again with the return of LumiNature, presented by Chase. The giant-sized holiday extravaganza will transform the entire zoo into a nighttime wonderland. Guests will experience a magical journey of lights, music, sounds and surprises. LumiNature will feature over a million lights, 10+ miles of power cord, a new 20 ft. tall coral reef and under-the-sea inspired holiday tree, 200,000 lights shining above the Septa PZ Express Train and so much more. In addition, there will be seasonal fare, strolling performers, hot chocolate and ever-warming adult beverages to spark the holiday spirit.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia

Love Park and City Hall

Running for its 16th season, Christmas Village in Philadelphia will transform LOVE Park and City Hall’s Courtyard and North Broad Street into an authentic German Christmas Market. The event is free to attend and will run from November 18th through Christmas Eve. There will be over 110 vendors that offer their unique Christmas giftware and delicious European food specialties. The 2023 highlights include a historic double tier carousel and 65′ Ferris wheel. There will also be well known European food options including Bratwurst, Raclette Cheese, Strudel, Schnitzel, Spätzle, Belgian Fries and so much more.

Manayunk Tree Lighting

Thursday, November 16, 5:30 – 7 pm
Main Street Philadelphia, PA

Manayunk lights up for the holidays on November 16 with our annual tree lighting ceremony! Join us from 5:30-7:00PM to turn on the lights of the 30-foot tree in Canal View Park (4418 Main Street). The night will host activities, special guests and live performances by The City Belles, Maggie Mae, Koser, and the big man himself.

November 16 also marks the official launch of the 4th Annual Manayunk Gets LIT! Decorating Competition between 50+ businesses in the district.

Roxborough Tree Lighting

December 8, 5:30 pm
6172 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA

This family-oriented event will celebrate the season with a tree-lighting ceremony, activities for kids, and the arrival of Santa to Roxborough. Live dance and musical performances will add to the holiday cheer. NEW this year is an indoor holiday pop-up market where you’ll find the best gifts!
The market is located at 6174 Ridge Avenue (previously the Bargain Dollar Store) and will host a diverse array of over 20 skilled artists and crafters. Shoppers can also delight in an assortment of delicious foods and beverages offered by food trucks and local eateries. The tree lighting is at 5:30 pm.

South Street Tree Lighting

December 2, 12 pm – 4:30 pm
S. 2nd Street and Pine Street, Philadelphia, Pa

The South Street Tree Lighting and Santa Meet and Greet, plus the Mrs. Claus Holiday Market is happening on December 2nd at Headhouse Shambles. There will be food, shopping, drinks and lots of celebrations.
