Manayunk Tree Lighting

When: November 17, 5:30-7 pm

Come out to Canal View Park for live performances and special guests. The tree lighting ceremony marks the official launch of the 3rd annual “Manayunk Gets LIT” decorating event between 50+ businesses in the district.

Visit Philadelphia Holiday Parade

When: December 3, 5-6 pm
Where: Market to City Hall, Philadelphia

The Philly Holiday Parade is on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5-6 pm. The holiday lights will parade from Market to City Hall. The event will be live streamed.

Fitler Square Christmas Tree Lighting

When: December 4, 5 pm
Where: 23 & Pine Street, Philadelphia

Light the Christmas Tree in the fountain and meet Santa. Enjoy hot cocoa and snacks, sing Christmas carols and catch up with neighbors as you get into the holiday spirit.

6th Annual Mayfair Tree Lighting

When: December 4, 2-6 pm
Where: Cottman & Frankford Ave., Philadelphia

The 2nd annual Christmas Village and the 6th Annual tree lighting event is taking place on December 4. Shop unique gifts for Christmas, drink holiday cheer, enjoy great food and music and meet Santa.

City Hall Tree Lighting

When: December 1
Where: City Hall, 1400 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Philadelphia

The tree arrives in early November and the tree lighting will take place on December 1st.

Christmas Barn and Vineyard Lighting 

When: December 3, 7-9 pm
Where: 2730 Hilltown Pike, Perkasie, PA

Grab a glass of wine and watch the illumination of the barn and vines as all the lights go on at once. Every year, more lights are added. Local Harvest Pizza and Scratch Kitchen Food Trucks will be providing great food until 9 pm and Overtones will be entertaining with live music from 4-8 pm. Indoor seating in the historic bank barn and the Coop and Stable rooms, along with tastings are available – 6 wines for $8. Beer from local breweries is also available.

Holiday Events & Celebrations

Dasher’s Lightshow

When: Nov. 25-Dec. 31
Where: 1455 Franklin Mills Circle, Philadelphia

Dasher’s Lightshow is retuning to Philadelphia with a million-plus lights, transforming the parking lot of Philadelphia Mills Mall into a magical, musical holiday spectacle. The dynamic LED display, synched to favorite holiday tunes is a mile long experience from dusk to 10:30 pm nightly. This year’s display features six lighted tunnels, singing digital characters and trees as tall as 40 feet. The light show should take approximately 20 minutes.

Macy’s Philadelphia Christmas Light Show

When: Late Nov. – Late Dec.
Where: 1300 Market Street, Philadelphia

Macy’s Christmas Light Show has been a Philadelphia tradition since 1956. It’s recognized as one of the top holiday light displays in the state of PA. The show features over 100,000 LED lights that dance to music by the Wanamaker Grand Organ.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia

When: November 19th – December 24th, 11 am – 7 pm daily
Where: Love Park and City Hall

Christmas Village in Philadelphia is an outdoor holiday market event in Center City Philadelphia, which is modeled after traditional Christmas Markets in Germany. This year, it will return to LOVE Park and City Hall with holiday lights, a double decker courtyard carousel and exclusive wine and spirits tastings. Vendors in wooden booths will set up shop during the holiday season to sell a wide variety of international holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high-quality arts and crafts, as well as traditional European food, sweets and drinks. The unique atmosphere of lights and delicious smell of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst and mulled wine will bring your family into the perfect Christmas spirit.

LumiNature at Philadelphia Zoo

When: November 17th – January 7th
Where: Philadelphia Zoo

Philadelphia Zoo is excited to light up the holidays once again with the return of LumiNature, presented by Chase. The giant-sized holiday extravaganza will transform the entire zoo into a nighttime wonderland. Guests will experience a magical journey of lights, music, sounds and surprises. LumiNature will expand to feature 14 illuminated experience zones that will feature lively themed displays, newly-enhanced installations and thousands of twinkling lights. In addition, there will be seasonal fare, strolling performers, hot chocolate and ever-warming adult beverages to spark the holiday spirit.

Wintergarden at Dilworth Park

Beginning in November, some of Philadelphia’s favorite winter traditions return to Dilworth Park. You can enjoy the Rothman Orthopedic Institute Ice Rink and reindeer topiaries on the Greenfield Lawn. A full lineup of free entertainment is planned, including the Deck the Halls Light Show, the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market and the Rothman Orthopedic Institute Cabin. Dilworth Park’s winter season begins on November 1st. The Philadelphia Holiday Market opens on November 19th and on November 21st is Dilworth Park’s Deck the Hall Light Show

Holiday Garden Railway at the Morris Arboretum

Thousands of sparkling lights in a miniature village surrounded by a quarter mile track with model trains going in and out of tunnels, over bridges and through the woods in an the winter garden of the Morris Arboretum. The buildings are all decorated for the holidays with lights that twinkle along the tracks. You can visit during the day or experience the illuminated magic at night. Daytime hours are from 10 am – 4 pm and night time express is from 4:30-8 pm. Tickets can be purchased on the website.

Comcast Holiday Spectacular

When: Thanksgiving – New Years Day

The Comcast Center Campus is inviting guests to celebrate the 2022 holiday season with The Comcast Holiday Spectacular, the launch of a sensory-friendly experience at The Universal Sphere, and more. This is a 15 minute family-friendly show featuring classic holiday songs, and performances by the Pennsylvania Ballet.

Philly Christmas Walk

When: December 10, 1:45 pm – 7:15 pm
Where: LOVE Park, 16th & JFK Blvd, Philadelphia

From afternoon through the evening, stroll through the city to see the lights, shopping and decor. The walk starts and ends at LOVE Park. Highlights include Wanamakers Light Show, Dickens Christmas Village, Comcast Experience, 13th Street Decorations, Franklin Square Light Show, Elfreth’s Alley, Jewelers Row, Rittenhouse Square, Dilworth German Christmas Market and RiverRink Winterfest.
