PHestivaL of Trees

Come out and enjoy a festive event featuring hundreds of uniquely decorated holiday trees & gingerbread houses, live entertainment, a holiday shopping village and Santa himself. Proceeds from decorated trees are donated to local animal rescues and shelters.

Wintergarden at Dilworth Park

Beginning in November, some of Philadelphia’s favorite winter traditions return to Dilworth Park. You can enjoy the Rothman Orthopedic Institute Ice Rink and reindeer topiaries on the Greenfield Lawn. A full lineup of free entertainment is planned, including the Deck the Halls Light Show, the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market and the Rothman Orthopedic Institute Cabin. Dilworth Park’s winter season begins on November 1st. The Philadelphia Holiday Market opens on Saturday, November 20th and on Monday, November 22nd is Dilworth Park’s Deck the Hall Light Show. Christmas Village in Philadelphia

Christmas Village in Philadelphia is an outdoor holiday market event in Center City Philadelphia, which is modeled after traditional Christmas Markets in Germany. Vendors in wooden booths will set up shop during the holiday season to sell a wide variety of international holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high-quality arts and crafts, as well as traditional European food, sweets and drinks. The unique atmosphere of lights and delicious smell of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst and mulled wine will bring your family into the perfect Christmas spirit.

Philadelphia Insurance Companies Turkey Trot

The Philadelphia Insurance Companies Turkey Trot benefits Face to Face, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) human services organization dedicated to the health, well-being and stability of our community. For 37 years, Face to Face has strived to meet basic human needs and reduces suffering. Face to Face provides a safe environment and practical tools, which enable the people of the community to confront personal challenges, empower their lives, and fulfill their unique potential. The race location is at the intersection of Thomas Road and W. Northwestern Avenue in parking lot #3.  Registration fee includes a race shirt, refreshments, water stations, prizes and more.

Moorestown Turkey Trot 5K

When: Thursday, November 25th, 9:45 am
Where: 350 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown, NJ

Race along the Moorestown High School Cross Country course. Money raised from this trot will help the cross-country teams build a trail to run on and supply uniforms. Registration begins November 18th and a virtual trot will be held as well. There is a food drive associated with this event. Donate healthy breakfast foods and snacks like granola bars, applesauce, shelf-stable milk and fruit cups.

Gobble Wobble 5K

Gobble Wobble is the beloved annual YMCA Thanksgiving 5K in the Greater Philadelphia region. This year, there are in person and virtual options. Proceeds from the race provide financial assistance to community members and youth who want to connect to healthier lives through fitness centers and programs. Register here.

Toss Your Turkey 5K

When: Thursday, November 25th, 9:00 am
Where: Montgomery County Community College, 101 College Drive, Pottstown, PA

The 2021 Toss Your Turkey is on as a live and virtual event this year. All entrants have the opportunity to “toss” a frozen turkey (which will be provided) from 7:00 – 8:20 am, and after the 5k race. The male and female who toss the turkey the furthest and runs the 5K will win Saucony shoes from the Chester County Running Store. Baked goods will be given as awards to age group winners and five year age group winners. The course is very flat and the first 600 entrants will receive long sleeve tech shirts. Sign up here.
