September 3-4 – Benjamin Franklin Parkway

This two-day music festival is quickly becoming a Philly staple since it was started by Jay Z in 2012. The event is ticketed and you can purchase for just one day or a two-day pass to the entire event.  Click here to purchase tickets.

Made in americaThe 2016 line-up includes headliners Rihanna and Coldplay, as well as over 20 other performers throughout the weekend including Lil’ Wayne, 2 Chainz, Chance the Rapper, DJ Khaled, Jamie xx, Martin Garrix, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grimes, DJ Mustard, Madeon, and Desiigner.

 

First Friday
September 2nd – Gallery Row in Old City 5pm-9pm

It’s that time again, another month has gone by and the first Friday of the new month means the art galleries in Old City will open there doors allowing folks to stroll, eat, people watch, and enjoy the evening.  This month the event kicks off Labor Day.

If you’re looking for something after your First Friday adventure head over to Clark Park in University City for the free showing of the latest Rocky installment, Creed!

September 1-5 – FDR Park 

This summer’s new traveling pop-up beer garden will head to FDR Park for Labor Day weekend.  Be sure to check it out since they are offering extended hours and a FREE yoga class on Saturday.  As always there will be great food, music, and lots of beers to try, what could be better?
