The Grayson School in Broomall is hosting CogniCon on October 27. Parents can participate in engaging presentations from experts in the field of giftedness while teachers provide brain-powered activities for kids Pre-K through grade 8.

The Event

When: Saturday, October 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: The Grayson School, 35 North Malin Road, Broomall

Meet and network with others who live with, work with, teach and advocate for gifted children.

Speakers include:

  • Dr. Brian Housand, an educational consultant and coordinator of the Academically or Intellectually Gifted Program at UNC Wilmington
  • Carolyn K., Hoagies’ Gifted Education Pages Founder
  • Jill Williford Wurman, Director of Research at The Grayson School

While parents are attending the free workshops, children ages 3-14 can participate in high-quality enrichment activities for $25. Gifted educators will lead activities such as conducting experiments, performing improv, exploring complex math concepts, creating graphic novels and a history simulation.
