The Vendy Awards – an intense annual street food cook-off that, since 2005, has determined the best street chef in New York City, and in 2011 expanded to Philly – will take place here in the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday, June 13 on top of the JFK Bridge (along JFK Boulevard, from Schuykill Avenue to N. 20th Street) from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event celebrates the street vendors who serve us every day, and who bring so much culinary and cultural life to our streets and public spaces.

Finalists for the Vendy Awards are selected from public nominations and compete in three different categories: Vendy Cup/People’s Choice, Rookie of the Year, and Best Dessert. These vendors bring their best dishes to the event and ticket holders sample delicious offerings from each vendor before voting for their favorites.
