Through the partnership, students will be able to work in the café in supervisory roles as part of their six-month co-op experience.

Café manager, Kelsey Goslin – a student expected to graduate from Drexel University in 2017 – has assumed full responsibility for operations of the new café. She’s joined by junior Meghan Regan, who is the café’s inaugural manager and had a key role in hiring the café’s more than eighteen member student team.

The Saxbys café on Drexel’s campus is the product of a partnership between Saxbys and Drexel’s Close School of Entrepreneurship. The Close School is the nation’s first freestanding school of entrepreneurship to offer degrees. Students from every college and school at Drexel are able to connect through the Close School to curricular, extracurricular and experiential programs that support entrepreneurial efforts. Close also serves the regional entrepreneurial and business community through thought leadership in entrepreneurship research.

Attending the café’s grand opening on Monday, April 13 is Nick Bayer, Saxbys Chief Executive Officer and Founder, John Fry, Drexel University’s President, Chaka Fattah, 11th term U.S. Congressman, and Donna De Carolis, Dean of Drexel’s Close School of Entrepreneurship.
