New Year’s Eve is right around the corner and much of the chatter about how everyone is going to be ringing in the New Year is already underway. For those of you still trying to decide what to do, here are some options worth considering.

Countdown 2 Noon at the Please Touch Museum
Celebrate Countdown 2 Noon at the Please Touch Museum on December 31. It’s Philly’s original New Year’s Eve Party for Kids. This year, Countdown 2 Noon will highlight the 150th Anniversary of Alice in Wonderland. Countdowns will take place at Noon and 1 p.m. to accommodate all families. Purchase event tickets online for quicker entry. Event tickets will also be available at the door. Prices vary for this event.

Kids’ New Year’s Eve Countdown at Franklin Square
On Wednesday, December 31 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. families can bring their kids to Franklin Square to enjoy music and crafts, watch the famous SquareBurger SquareDrop at 6:00 p.m., and view the SugarHouse New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront – viewable from the Square. The indoor Pavilion will also host a Kids’ Dance Party and the park will remain open until 8:00 p.m. for the final Electrical Spectacle Holiday Light Show. The best part, it’s all FREE!

Sugar House Casino’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks
Ring in 2015 twice during Sugar House Casino’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Delaware River Waterfront. With fireworks shows along the Delaware River at 6 p.m. and midnight, you’ll have plenty of time to find perfect spot to watch the spectacular displays. Philadelphia’s main attraction on New Year’s Eve draws thousands of people to the Delaware River Waterfront each year. Conveniently located within a short walk of Old City, Society Hill and South Street, Penn’s Landing becomes a festive party with revelers of all ages delighting in a breathtaking fireworks display.

Blue Cross River Rink’s New Year’s Eve Parties on Ice
Celebrate at the Blue Cross River Rink Winterfest’s New Year’s Eve Parties on Ice, a family-friendly affair that boasts one of the best views of the city’s breathtaking fireworks displays over the Delaware River. Skaters can catch one of two sparkling shows during the early (5-8 p.m.) and late (10 p.m.-1 a.m.) parties complete with snacks, beverages, live entertainment, crafts and party favors. Be sure to check out the Waterfront Winterfest, a pop-up holiday village at Penn’s Landing. Tickets for the New Year’s Parties on Ice cost $40.

Fireworks at Independence Seaport Museum
Ring in the New Year with Independence Seaport Museum’s annual family fun celebration from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., which includes a prime viewing of fireworks erupting over the Delaware River presented by Sugar House Casino. Festive hats, noisemakers and sparkling cider to “toast” the New Year will also be provided.  Additionally hop over to Nesquik’s Bunnyland to play games, win prizes, drink delicious chocolate milk and meet Quiky, the bunny. Regular Museum admission will be available at the door.

New Year’s Funkin’ Eve at FringeArts
One of the newest attractions on the Delaware River Waterfront, FringeArts is saying goodbye to 2014 with a funky celebration featuring live music, a beer garden bonfire, balloons and more. Starting at 11 p.m., enjoy sparking cocktails and ala carte late-night specials at La Peg before watching the midnight fireworks over the Delaware River. After the show, head back inside and dance the night away.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks Dinner Cruise
Enjoy Philly’s most entertaining New Year’s Eve Party and start 2015 with a blast and a splash aboard the warm and cozy interior decks of the Spirit of Philadelphia from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The cruise includes a premium open bar package, fabulous dinner menu, dancing, riverfront views, champagne toast, and an up-close vie of the fireworks. Prices vary.

New Year’s Even Dance Fever at Sugar House
Ring in 2015 with an open bar, live entertainment and fireworks at SugarHouse Casino. The night includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, live performance by the Sensational Soul Cruisers, champagne toast and a private viewing area of the waterfront fireworks. Tickets are $75.

Manayunk New Year’s Eve 2015 Passport Party
Just $60 gives you access to 5 bars at 2 of the most popular establishments in Manayunk, Bayou and Cactus Cantina. The passport gets you a top-shelf open bar from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.; DJ’s; access to 5 full bars at The Bayou and Cactus Cantina; menu samplings and much more.

BRU Craft & Wurst’s New Year’s Eve Party
Ring in the New Year at BRU Craft & Wurst in Midtown Village. Enjoy TOP SHELF open bar, 40 draft beers, domestic bottles and craft cans and passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening.
