There is no need to have the post-labor day blues here in Philly since September is off to a rocking start. From beer to theatre to more beer and sausage, this weekend has it all! Enjoy!
September 9-24th – Varied locations throughout the city
If you like live theatre and the arts then Philly is a great place to be pretty much any time of the year but especially this time of year when we celebrate the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Fringe Festivals, celebrating Fringe Theatre which is experimental performing arts, can be found all over the world. The Philadelphia Fringe Festival, brought to us by FringeArts, is in its 20th year and the 2016 festival starts Friday September 9th.
The festival spans throughout the city over its two-week run where over 1,000 innovative performances take place. For more information and to buy tickets visit the FringeArts website.
West Passayunk SausageFest
September 10 12pm-8pm
Come over to the West side Philly! West Passyunk Avenue hosts its second annual SausageFest between South Broad and 15th streets on Saturday September 10th. The event is free and features autumn-craft beer, live music, and it’s Sausage themed. What could be better??
This South Philly festival is meant to highlight the West side of Passyunk/Newbold area which is quickly becoming a culinary contender with the ever popular East Passyunk area. SausageFest also benefits the Newbold Community Development Corporation so do your part by eating sausage and drinking beer. It’s a tough life but somebody’s got to live it.
