The last weekend in February is proving to be an opportunity to send out the shortest month in style! This week is Philly Fashion Week, you’ll have your last chance of the season to enjoy the winter fun at Dilworth Park, and it ends of course with the Oscars on Sunday.  Here are some other great things happening this weekend in Philly!

February 21-26 – The Academy of Music

The movie made famous by Whitney Houston featuring the unforgettable some “I Will Always Love You” comes to the Academy of Music this week/weekend.  The musical, fully fleshed out with even more great musical numbers, features Deborah Cox in the lead role.  For more information and to purchase tickets click here.

Carnival Celebration at International House Philadelphia
February 24th 7pm – International House 3701 Chestnut Street

The fun that will be had in the Caribbean is coming right here to Philly as the International House celebrates Carnival this Friday night. Tickets are $10 for the general public; $5 for IHP members; free for IHP residents. Admission includes the tasting of Brazilian and Caribbean food and beverages. Philly Bierfest
February 25 2pm-5:30pm – German Society of Pennsylvania 611 Spring Garden Street

Nothing quite makes you feel more German than a great German beer!  Celebrate this fabulous libation this Saturday at the German Society of Pennsylvania. Along with classic German Brew’s there will be food, music, and other local breweries providing suds, including ciders. Tickets start at $48.
