Everywhere you look at this time of year you see families together, friends reuniting, and people enjoying their holiday break. This weekend we celebrate the beginning of a new year, or the end of an old one. No matter how you see it there are lots of great ways to celebrate in the city of brotherly love!

New Year’s in Philadelphia
New York gets all the credit when the ball drops but Philadelphia is still the place to be to ring in the new year! We have so much going on from fireworks, to great food specials (like this one from XoChitl), to parades, to parties galore. For all of the goings on this new year in Philadelphia check out our New Year’s Guide.
Free Art Sunday
January 1st – Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Foundation
The first Sunday of the Month, and in this case the first Sunday of the year, brings us free admission to both the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Foundation. If you haven’t had a chance to check these museums out, or haven’t been to them recently, this is the perfect opportunity to visit! Donations are always welcome and encouraged.
From our Philly Happening Family to yours, Happy New Year!
