This weekend we have the 3rd huge event coming to Philadelphia in recent history.  Between the Pope’s visit, the DNC, and now the 2017 NFL Draft, Philly seems to be the go-to city for major events of all kinds.  All we can hope for now is that the weather clears up!  Have a great weekend Philly!

2017 NFL Draft
April 27-29 – Benjamin Franklin Parkway

Starting Thursday the Ben Franklin Parkway will be the backdrop for the 2017 NFL Draft.  There will be all kinds of fun things to do including a zip-line, a chance to take your picture with the Vince Lombardi trophy, live music, and of course the chance to meet your favorite NFL players.  Philadelphia was the very first city to host this event in 1936 and the 2017 festivities are looking like they will be out of this world!  Whether you are an avid football fan or just a Philadelphian interested in a good time, the draft will have lot’s to enjoy!

Free Admission to the Academy of Natural Sciences
April 27-29 – 1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway

This weekend is all about the NFL and Science, an odd combination perhaps, but we’ll take it!  In honor of the NFL Draft taking over the Parkway the Academy of Natural Sciences is offering FREE admission.  So if you and the family want to take a break from the NFL festivities, check out the regular exhibits for free and if you want to see the special exhibits be sure to wear your favorite NFL jersey to receive $1 off admission to those.

Philadelphia Science Festival Carnival

The city has been celebrating science for the past nine days and this Saturday is the final event.  This family friendly event is free and features all kinds of science-inspired fun!  For more information checkout the festival’s website by clicking here.
