Bikes PhiladelphiaPhiladelphia is a great city to live in for so many reasons, maybe that’s why so many people are moving here.  We have many firsts in the City of Brotherly Love, the first American flag, the first hospital, the first post office… The list goes on and on.

Now, according to Redfin.com, Philadelphia has achieved another first at the top of the list of “Most Bikable Downtowns”.  Having a car is pretty easy in Philly but downtown-ers often opt to walk, use public transportation, or in many cases ride a bike.

As of the Spring of 2015 Philadelphia even launched the popular bike-share program Indego which provides over 70 stations where residents and visitors alike can rent a bike for a day or throughout the month with a membership.

Redfin, a real estate company, gave a score of 96.4 to Philadelphia because of the Indego program and the over 440 miles of bike lanes.  So strap on your helmet Philly, and get ready to roll! The only question is; did the naked bike race, being held on September 10th this year help our score??
