Philadelphia is home to many firsts – the first reading of the Declaration of Independence, the first zoo, the first Thanksgiving Day Parade, and many others. Now, our city can claim the first black bachelor to be featured on TV too!
On Wednesday, February 4 at 8:00 p.m. Philadelphia native Shawn Bullard will make his debut on WE TV’s reality love show Match Made in Heaven – the premise being to find Bullard’s perfect love connection among the 24 girls chosen to live under one roof and compete for the same man. During the season Bullard will be guided through the matchmaking process by Pastor Ken Johnson, spiritual advisor to the Indianapolis Colts, and his very own mother Maggie Bullard.
It’s sure to be an exciting season with Bullard as the prize. Who wouldn’t want to be paired with the handsome 34-year-old real-estate developer who owns several businesses on the side?! In addition to being a successful businessman, Bullard is also a great athlete. He was a star football player for Temple University and a three-year run in the NFL.
Be sure to tune in to see the dates, romantic rendezvous, harsh eliminations, and solicited (as well as unsolicited) advice from the Pastor and Bullard’s mother.
