“Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.”   – Kevin Trudeau

download (1)Attention yoga enthusiasts, registration is now open for Namas Day – our region’s only biannual independent yoga festival. The event, which will take place on Saturday, April 18 at the WHYY building at Independence Mall West, 150 N. 6th Street, brings together over 350 yogis from the area’s rapidly growing health-conscious, eco-friendly, and socially-responsible community.

The Namas Day lineup is confirmed and includes a selection of Philly area yoga teachers, as well as a few yoginis of international recognition. Those participating will enjoy a full day of workshops, learning, networking, and information exchange.

“Research states that Philadelphians are 42 percent more likely to practice yoga than the general population, and we certainly see proof of that in our community. That’s part of why we have been hosting Namas Day for four years now. The event fosters personal connections and each year attendees tell us that they take home wisdom that they otherwise would not have gotten had they not attended,” says Mary Fetterman, Owner/Founder of Philly Area Yoga, which recently expanded to launch Chicago Area Yoga and D.C. Area Yoga. “Regardless of someone’s level of practice, we welcome all people interested in coming together through yoga.”

Some of the people leading the event with Mary are:
