Johnson & Johnson Innovation, JLABS today announced the launch of the JPOD @ Philadelphia QuickFire Challenge at The MedTech Conference during a panel discussing the growing health care ecosystem in Philadelphia. In honor of the new JPOD @ Philadelphia opening at the Pennovation Center in collaboration with JLABS and the University of Pennsylvania, the JPOD @ Philadelphia QuickFire Challenge is designed to accelerate healthcare innovation and commercialization in Philadelphia and beyond.
The JPOD @ Philadelphia QuickFire Challenge is open to entrepreneurs, researchers and start-up companies in the local area and around the world, working on technologies and solutions that have the potential to improve human healthcare.
Innovators with the best idea, technology, or solution across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer products, global public health, or health technologies will receive an award of up to $30,000 in grant funding, one year of residency at Pennovation Center at the University of Pennsylvania, access to educational programs at JPOD @ Philadelphia, as well as mentorship and coaching from the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies global network of experts.
The JPOD @ Philadelphia QuickFire Challenge welcomes submissions from today, September 25, 2018 through 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on January 25, 2019. The winners will be announced in 2019. For more information about the application process, please visit http://jlabs.tv/philly .
The QuickFire Challenges are managed by Johnson & Johnson Innovation, JLABS, to address today’s greatest health care challenges.
