We all have the ability to be a hero, a hero with the ability to save the lives of many, the ability to do so without any superpowers. By becoming an organ donor you are signing up to be a hero, among the other 14,144 organ donors1 in America. That may sounds like plenty of registered donors, but in reality an average of 18 people die each day because they didn’t receive an organ transplant in time. Did you know that every ten minutes another name is added to the list of patients waiting for an organ transplant, for a total of over 113,000 patients on the waiting list. With numbers as powerful as these, we hope that you will strongly consider checking YES next time you are asked if you would like to be listed as a donor.
We all think that is won’t happen to us, that we won’t need an organ, but what if we do? What about the ones we love? What If. What if you, or your mother, father, husband, wife, or child becomes one of the 10 people added to that list today? What if you could save their life? You can. You have the power to be a life saver, to be a HERO.
