Philadelphia is not just about Rocky and Cheesesteaks.  Our city is filled with talent and many famous musicians got their start right here. The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will premiere on CBS at 8pm on Monday February 15th, 2016 and in honor of that here are some famous artists, and their Grammy nods, who hail from the City of Brotherly Love.

Needless to say Philadelphia is churning out some real long-lasting talent but what about other types of musical prowess? If you are a fan of the movie musical then chances are you watched the premier of Grease Live, the latest in a string of made for TV musicals.  Did you happen to catch the Philadelphia Grease connection??

In the original movie Grease Philadelphia native Frankie Avalon performed “Beauty School Dropout” to a sad and disheartened Frenchie.

In the latest version, Grease Live, another group of famous Philadelphians took on that role.
