renn faireIt is festival season in Philadelphia and the tail end of April brings a few that you can’t miss!  The city will be a buzz as we celebrate Science, History, and Culture in three separate festivals.

science logoPhiladelphia Science Festival

The Philadelphia Science Festival starts on April 22nd.  This nine-day festival celebrates all things science through lectures, debates, hands-on activities, special exhibitions, science exhibitions of all kinds.  The festival ends with a carnival at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing on Saturday April 30th from 10am-4pm.  For information on the festival visit the website.

renn fairePhiladelphia Renaissance Faire

Once again Philly will hold it’s very own Renn Faire right in Fairmont Park 4/23-4/24 and 4/31-5/1.  Tickets start at $15 for kids and $20 for adults.  Come on out and see performers and vendors showing off all things medieval/renaissance!  For more information and to buy tickets click here.

lanternsChinese Lantern Festival

Franklin Square will be lit up and dazzling with a 200 foot dragon lantern and a three story pagoda, each constructed by lantern artisans from China.  The festival starts April 22nd and runs through June 12th.  It is free during the day but to catch the beautiful light display at night you will need tickets, $12 for kids, $17 for Adults, and $15 for Military/Senior.
