Let’s be honest, money is often the leading cause of stress in relationships – but it doesn’t have to be.
According to a new national survey fielded by Capital One®, 75% of Americans who are currently in, or have ever been in, a committed relationship feel that setting financial goals with a partner is more difficult than setting goals as an individual. However, despite this difficulty, 63% would prefer to manage finances with a partner rather than individually. That’s why Capital One is on a quest to help couples explore how their respective pasts have influenced their feelings about money, and provide guidance on establishing healthy communication about their financial goals and how to achieve them.
As part of its Money Coaching program, Capital One is offering a series complimentary workshops in Philadelphia aimed at helping couples align their personal values with their money goals at any stage of their relationship – whether they’re starting to plan for the future, saving for a big milestone, or just looking to improve their relationship with money. And to help kick it all off, Capital One will host the Money Matched event, a fun, live game show that asks local couples a series of questions that will help them discover how much they know (or don’t know) about their partner’s money values. This interactive event is designed to start a conversation about how couples can establish healthy communication about their financial goals and how to achieve them. The event will be held at the Capital One Cafe in Philadelphia on October 18th.
