City Tap House will celebrate National Watermelon Day this Friday, August 3rd with watermelon drink specials, a watermelon eating contest, live music and more! City Tap House is one of Center City’s best outdoor dining restaurants with extensive open-air seating on two terraces featuring a row of five stone fire pits overlooking Walnut Street. They also offer an extensive selection of draft beer with over 60 varieties to choose from.

Enjoy Watermelon Lager and Watermelon Wheat beer on tap for $5, and hand-made Watermelon cocktails for $4, such as the watermelon mojito and watermelon whiskey sour. City Tap House shows local farmers their support, purchasing all watermelons from Fair Foods Farmstand, located in the Reading Terminal Market.

Registration is still open for the Watermelon Eating Contest where contestants have the opportunity to win cash prizes, gift certificates, Phillies tickets and other great prizes. here is a small fee of $5 to enter, with a portion of the proceeds going to Variety the Children’s Charity.
