The XFINITY Live Marketplace in Philadelphia
Over the weekend, Philadelphia welcomed the end of March with the official grand opening of XFINITY Live! Philadelphia, the much talked about and highly anticipated indoor/outdoor dining and entertainment district part of the Wells Fargo Complex in South Philly. The public got their first look on Friday (a special preview was given to guests holding tickets to the Bruce Springsteen concert on Wednesday and Thursday) of the 60,000 square foot amusement zone which provided an afternoon filled with free activities and concerts including a special evening performance from Third Eye Blind. VIP guests were treated to an exclusive cocktail event hosted by Philadelphia Style in the center’s Spectrum Grill, a sleek and sophisticated restaurant which features a hearty menu during regular hours topped with steaks, chops, roasts and seafood.
A perfect stop for pre/post game and concert events, the sports fan’s haven boasts six dining venues, a 32 foot, Sony LED video screen, mechanical bull riding, custom draft tables and an outdoor turf field adjacent to a performance stage, patio seating and fire-pits. In the center of the complex you’ll find NBC Sports Arena and The Philly MarketPlace where fans can watch games on the big screen while eating and drinking from stadium-like seating and wrap-around booths or enjoying bites from concessions such as Chickie’s and Pete’s, Nick’s Roast Beef and Original Philadelphia Cheesesteak. Flanking the corners of the center court are four restaurants each sporting a different theme: Spectrum Grill for upscale dining, Broad Street Bullies Pub featuring memorabilia from the legendary 1970’s team and Nintendo Wii video games, Victory Beer Hall providing live indoor entertainment and PBR (Professional Bullriders Association) Bar and Grill where you can test your side-saddle skills on a mechanical bull. An elevated VIP lounge with plush leather seating, two bars and a mezzanine overlooks the center court and is available for private dining and parties.
A family-friendly zone by day and an adult playground by night, the state-of-the-art XFINITY Live! brings sports entertainment to a whole new level for Philadelphia fans. The complex is open daily, regardless of sporting events, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and parking is of no cost on non-event nights and free one hour after the start of the final event of the day.
