hand over hand, pile of hands, handsDid you know that six out of 10 Americans have had experiences with adoption, meaning that they themselves, a family member or close friend was adopted, have adopted a child or have placed a child for adoption. This February you are invited to join Madison Adoption Associates (MAA) for a unique monthly adoption group discussion beginning Wednesday, February 20th to be held at the Willow Grove Giant community center from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. There is no fee or cost for attending this series and it is just a short distance outside of Philadelphia.

The format for the on-going discussion series will be open discussion with a 20-minute presentation on an adoption topic, followed by a question and answer period, culminating with a group discussion led by Leonette Boiarski, LCSW. Leonette is an adoptive mom and professional with over 10 years of experience working in international adoption.

The discussion groups are open to adoptees, birth parents, adoptive parents, prospective adoptive parents, professionals and students looking for added knowledge about relevant adoption issues. The February topic is domestic adoption – history and overview of domestic adoption today. Registrants may sign up to attend one, several or all of the group sessions based on personal interest. Registration is required only due to space limitations.

For a complete listing of the topics and to register, visit www.madisonadoption.com. Space is limited.
