On Saturday, April 21 (rain date Sunday, April 29), City Tap House will welcome springtime with its second-annual Spring Festival, marking the official re-opening of its sweeping patio overlooking Walnut Street, one of the best outdoor dining spaces in the city. From noon until 4 p.m., City Tap House will host a “Beer-B-Q” where guests can enjoy beer specials, live music and an all-you-can-eat barbecue menu for $45 per person (pre-sale price before April 13; tickets will be available for $55 per person after that date). Reservations are strongly recommended.

The fabulous patio at City Tap House

“Nothing makes us happier than a beer outside – except when you pair that beer with great food, good music and the company of friends,” says beer steward Andy Farrell, who heads the ambitious 60-tap beer program at City Tap House.  “This event is all about enjoying our favorite time of year – patio season.”

The ticket price includes: Five Beer Tokens, redeemable on the day of the party for Great Lakes Brews such as DoppelRock Lager and Edmond Fitzgerald Porter; All-You-Can-Eat Barbecue from Chef Ralph Kane, including ribs, chicken, pulled pork and brisket, as well as all the traditional sides; and Live Music from local rockers Red Team Go. Additional beer tokens will be available for purchase on the day of the event for $4 each or $20 for 6.

Tickets can be purchased online; contact Jessica for more information and group rates.

With extensive open-air seating on two terraces and a row of five beautiful stone fire pits overlooking Walnut Street combined with the rich, rustic feel of a mountain lodge, City Tap House is one of the city’s most popular food-and-beer destinations. It is located on the second level of The Radian, a pristine landmark building just steps from the campuses of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.

So step out this Spring and celebrate with beer and sunshine in the city at City Tap House.
