thanksgiving parade, 6abcAnother year of a great Philly tradition, the Thanksgiving Day parade continues Thursday, November 28th LIVE at 8:30 am. Local personality’s from 6ABC will again host this morning tradition, so grab a cup of coffee and settle in for another fabulous year with Cecily Tynan, Rick Williams, Adam Joseph, and Karen Rogers.

Some of the floats we are looking forward to most this year are, Strawberry Shortcake, Under the Sea, Polar Bear (landscape), the Lorax and Horton from Horton hears a Who.

Of course Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making their much anticipated appearance to officially kick of the season, with a whole host of holiday revelers! Mickey, Minnie, and their friends fro Disney on Ice will be dancing in the streets, along with a long list of marching bands, tap schools, choirs and other amazing performers. You can see a full list of all participants and special guests here.

Every famly has a “spot” they like to set up at for watching the parade, but if you’re a first time spectator, or looking for a new angle along the parade route, here is a map to help you.
